Visit Bormio in the Summer
The most beautiful green week in the nature of the Stelvio National Park
Both in summer and in winter, Bormio and its surrounding area can offer you all types of recreation.
Summer is the favourite season of hiking enthusiasts, who can embark upon numerous marked mountain trails, accompanied by guides.
Stelvio National Park
It is one of the largest protected areas in Europe; an uncontaminated environment where species of great naturalistic value grow and live.
Its territories offer an ideal habitat for the typical alpine fauna, represented by deer, chamois, roe deer and numerous ibexes present above all in the Val Zebrù.
You can contact the Alpine Guides to organize trekking, climbing and alpine excursions inside the park, an opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views, in contact with the animals.
Passion on two wheels
Hairpin bends and climbs like those in the Valtellina are a real joy for the many cycling, mountain bike and motorcycling enthusiasts who come to visit us every year.
It is sufficient to mention some of the most famous passes such as the Stelvio Pass, the Gavia Pass and the Mortirolo Pass, made famous by the epic challenges of the Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy) bicycle race, to understand the importance of this territory for cycling.
For motorbike tours, however, the most popular itineraries are those that lead to nearby Switzerland (Bernina Pass, Forcola Pass, Munt la Schera tunnel, Stelvio Pass, Umbrail Pass).
Our hotel is really the ideal departure and arrival point for this type of Holiday!
High altitude Golf
We invite you to visit Bormio Golf, just 5 minutes from the village, in perfect harmony with the surrounding alpine landscape. It is a perfectly equipped and well-maintained 9-hole golf course and one of the most popular Italian mountain golf courses, above all for the stunning scenery of the surrounding peaks for you to enjoy
A ride on the Bernina Red Train
You only need to reach Tirano (about 30 minutes by car) to climb aboard one of the most famous trains in Europe! We are talking about the Bernina Red Train, which becomes an experience not to be missed, especially in summer, when you have the chance to ride in an open-top carriage and enjoy the approximately 60 km of breathtaking itinerary even more, with woods, meadows, bridges and villages like nativity scenes, as far as the Swiss border and arriving at St. Moritz.
In short, there are a great many things to do in the summer, of course without forgetting pleasant walks in the village, visiting the historic centre of Bormio, the Braulio Wine Cellars, the Civic Museum and the Mineralogical and Wildlife Museum, or even the Rezia Alpine Botanical Garden.
